LivingSocial has benefited greatly from its deal with Amazon, as it has both raised its profile and increased its sales. The company now hopes to replicate that success  by striking another similar “national” deal with Fandango by offering a 70% discount on two movie tickets.

In little more than a single day after the deal went live, 750,125 tickets had been purchased, with the deal being shared more than 32,000 times over Facebook. This particular deal might not reach the 1.3 million Amazon gift cards that it was able to sell in its previous partnership, but this is likely to be successful in its own right.

Aside from deals like this, LivingSocial has been raising its profile through more traditional means, such as airing several entertaining ads during the recent Academy Awards.

The deals the company has struck up with Amazon and Fandango can only be described as a consumer-subsidized marketing and awareness campaign, but can still be seen as an opportunity for small businesses everywhere. Placing an offer on LivingSocial is an opportunity to brand your company and attract a wider and otherwise unreachable customer base.
